I usually start my day with a sweat and whether that’s 15, 20 minutes or an hour, I want to push myself. I definitely feel better on the other side. It [workout] is my mood booster. My spirits are lifted, I feel healthier, I end up eating much better during the day and I stay hydrated when I’m doing my workout,” she explained.

Russian tennis beauty Maria Sharapova has stressed on the importance of staying hydrated, one of the key things in her life. The former World No. 1 prefers to start her day by consuming water. In the morning.

“I start my day with one litre of water. I learned that because of my sport. When you travel around the world, you face jet lag, different conditions and heat waves from summer to winter. You never know where you’re going to be playing and how your body is going to react during the day. I’ve carried all those routines post-retirement because they really help in my everyday life. I feel fresh,” she told glamourmagazine.co.uk.

Meanwhile, Sharapova, who retired from tennis last year, revealed that workouts are her instant mood booster. “I usually start my day with sweat and whether that’s 15, 20 minutes or an hour, I want to push myself. I definitely feel better on the other side. It [workout] is my mood booster. My spirits are lifted, I feel healthier, I end up eating much better during the day and I stay hydrated when I’m doing my workout,” she explained.
