Juliette, Miracle likely to triumph

A small seven-race card, featuring all Group races, is slated for Sunday at the Mahalaxmi racetrack. True, each of the seven events is one for which racegoers have been eagerly waiting for more than eight months since the time the last Mahalaxmi season was abruptly called off due to the second wave of the pandemic.

 

But the two races which stand out for their sheer prominence are the Zavaray S Poonawalla Indian Turf Invitation Cup and the Villoo Poonawalla Indian 1000 Guineas. I expect the Karthik-trained Juliette (A Sandesh up) to triumph in the Invitation Cup, and the Pesi Shroff-trained Miracle (P S Chouhan up) to bag the 1000 Guineas.
