The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) has announced R10 lakh cash prize, and to qualify for it all you have to do is visit the Mahalaxmi racecourse this Sunday (Feb 4) to witness the HPSL Indian Derby (Gr 1)

It’s going to rain heavily at the racecourse this Sunday, but race lovers are advised not to carry the umbrella. Because it’s going to rain money.


The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) has announced R10 lakh cash prize, and to qualify for it all you have to do is visit the Mahalaxmi racecourse this Sunday (Feb 4) to witness the HPSL Indian Derby (Gr 1).

No, it’s not a contest of skill—you don’t have to predict the Derby winner, or any other race winner for that matter. All you have to do is write down your name and phone number on a free form which will be handed to you when you enter the racecourse, and wait—of course, with bated breath—when the lucky draw, after the Derby is run and won, picks your name as the winner!

If you are the type who believes more in “kind” than “cash”, do your prayers for the top drawer, upmarket, latest motorbike which will be given to one lucky 
person—again, by a lucky draw. Another super attraction is Sunday’s jackpot pool amount, which is expected to swell to over R1 crore. But for that you will have to invest at least R10 and try to predict the winning numbers of the five jackpot pool races.
