Sunday's eight-race card at Mahalaxmi features the grade 1, Poonawalla Breeders' Multi-Million (PBMM) as the prime event. Of the 11 in the fray, three have traveled all the way from Bangalore: Flight On, Redefined and Excellent Lass. Of the eight locally based juveniles, the most forward are Dash and The Panther. In all probability, the winner will emerge from this quintet, but it's extremely difficult to predict who will catch the judge's eye first.

I nominate Excellent Lass for the top prize, because while watching the video of her victory at Bangalore, I had a distinct feeling she was capable of a far superior performance, and in all likelihood, will register dramatic improvement in her next start which happens to be today. She is trained by Rajesh Narredu, and will be ridden by Suraj Narredu.
