She also tweeted that the students in the area were faing a lot of problmes since the road from Sagang to Tuning was incomplete.
This isn't the first time she has requested a minister to repair the horrible roads in Manipur. Earlier it had been the Manipur Chief Minister who had received the request.
The 34-year-old had met Modi in April 2015 and had invited him to inaugurate her dream project as and when it was to be ready in Langol village near Imphal but had hoped that the road leading up to the insitute would be repaired before the event.
The road leading upto the academy was in such a bad shape that the boxer had sought intervention of then Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh for an early repair so that she could work out the date for inauguration, to be intimated to the Prime Minister’s Office.
"I want the road leading upto the academy to be repaired before the inauguration as I am hoping that the Prime Minister will be coming to cut the ribbon. It is not for my personal gain, it is for all the youngsters,” she had said at the time.
