Australian basketball star Ben Simmons is engaged to British TV presenter Maya Jama. According to The Sun, Simmons proposed to Jama over Christmas and the couple have shared the news only with close family and friends.

Jama, 27, and Simmons, 25, began dating in May 2021 and were even seen together at Wimbledon. Jama reportedly spent Christmas with the Philadelphia 76ers star at his £3.7million (approx R37.30 crore) mansion in Moorestown, New Jersey.
However, with Simmons planning a trade-off away from the Sixers, Jama, who lives in Bristol in the UK, is ready to start life with him in a new city in America.
The couple could move to Los Angeles where the 6-foot-11 hoopster bought a £15million (approx R151 crore) home last July.
Confirming the engagement, a source said: “Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her. He chose the ring himself on Jewelers Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed.
“Maya said yes and they’re both thrilled. Maya flew to New Jersey to spend Christmas with him and is still there now.”
