Sebastian Vettel has made it abundantly clear he would prefer Kimi Raikkonen over Fernando Alonso as a future teammate at Red Bull.
The race to fill the seat due to become vacant at the end of the year when Mark Webber retires from F1 appeared to be a two-horse affair heading into the Hungarian GP weekend.

But Alonso, despite the fact he has another three years remaining on his Ferrari contract beyond this season, has apparently become a contender alongside Raikkonen and Toro Rosso’s Daniel Ricciardo.u00a0Now, Vettel has weighed in.
“I’d prefer Kimi,” said Vettel, when asked by the BBC as to his choice between the Finn and the Spaniard. “I need to be careful now, but nothing against Fernando. I really respect him a lot as a driver.
“But I respect Kimi on track, off track, because he has always been very straight with me. From that point of view it would be a bit easier.”u00a0
