Former World No 4 Tim Henman backed the current World No 1 tennis player Novak Djokovic to dominate the ATP circuit for another two to three years and said it wouldn’t be surprising if the Serbian goes on to win gold in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

"Djokovic is playing incredible tennis at the moment and I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins a gold medal at the Rio Olympics. He has already won 11 Grand Slam titles.


He is going to keep winning for a while, atleast for the coming two-three years if he keeps himself fit," said the four-time Wimbledon semi-finalist, who was in the city for the ‘HSBC The Road to Wimbledon’ event at MSLTA).

Talking about the match fixing allegations that surfaced at the start of the Australian Open, Henman said he was shocked to hear about the claims.

"Leave tennis, it has no place in any sport. I would like to understand the facts as suddenly they’re talking about matches that happened 10 years ago. We also need to educate the younger lot that it is a crime," he said
