Riding on striker Vaidhehi Shah's brace, Aditya Birla World Academy (Tardeo) beat Sundatta High School (Grant Road) 3-0 in their Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) girls under-16 Division I match at Azad Maidan yesterday.
The Tardeo school dominated proceedings against their opponents who fielded only nine players. Sarah Kothari opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Vaidehi converted a penalty to extend the lead in the 14th minute. She added to the tally in the 30th minute via a solo effort.

“We were unable to practice much, but I am glad we started the year on a winning note. Though we couldn’t make it to the play-offs last year, I hope we do better this time,” said Vaidehi.
Meanwhile, in the other match, Bombay Scottish (Mahim) beat Greenlawns (BP Road) 3-0. Janine Aderianwalla, Shibanni Dave and Priyanka Minbatiwala scored for the Mahim outfit.
