Former Mumbai opening batsman Bhavin Thakkar scored an unbeaten century for New Hind SC against Karnataka Sporting Association (KSA) in an ‘A’ division Kanga League match yesterday.

New Hind declared their first innings at 187 for two. In reply, KSA managed to score 69 for six. Kaustubh Pawar, another Ranji player, top-scored with 41 for KSA. Riding on Thakkar’s 100 and Vikrant Auti’s 40.


Return to New Hind
On Saturday, Thakkar spent around 90 minutes at the crease for his 23 against MIG Cricket Club. He wants to enjoy a successful Kanga League to get back into the reckoning for Mumbai.

Thakkar returns to New Hind after a two-year stint with Cricket Club of India. “It feels like home again. I remember scoring runs for New Hind and getting picked in the Mumbai Ranji team. I aim to do that again.”
