A lot was expected of the 21-year-old Luka at the CWG last month, after she broke former India middle-distance runner Shiny Wilson's 15-year standing 800m national mark of 1:59:85.

However, all she managed at the CWG was a sixth pace finish clocking 2:01.25 seconds. Usha however clarifies that the CWG was not Luka's target. "I had never said that Tintu would win a medal at the CWG.
That was all media hype. For me, the real goals for Tintu are the Asian Games here, followed by the World Championship next year and thereafter the London Olympics.
