Swapnil is fastest at Poinsur Gym Open athletics

Swapnil Nankar's dash to victory in the 100m sprint brought smiles on the faces of his home followers on the second day of the Poinsur Gymkhana Open athletics championships held on Saturday. Swapnil clocked 11.3 seconds as he pipped Nikhil Kadam at the finish.

This was Nikhil’s third silver medal after his second-place finish in both the long jump as well as the high jump events. Anil Saboo won gold in both high jump as well as long jump events.

Meanwhile, Shweta Hakke bagged gold in the 100m sprint for women. Children’s Academy’s Jaimin Prajapati won gold in the boys U-16 100m event while Ankita Bhuvad won in the girls U-16 category.u00a0
