Paris: Steffi Graf believes Serena Williams will beat her record of 22 Grand Slam titles and she won't care if she does. German star Graf holds the record for the Open era for majors but Williams can take her total to 20 if she defeats Lucie Safarova in Saturday's French Open final.

"I think she is living in an exciting time. Honestly, I think she can get there and then do much better because she has the talent and the opportunities," Graf said Friday in Paris where she was helping to open a new store for one of her sponsors. "I really won't worry if Serena beats my record or not, I have never been interested in numbers "I gave everything in my career.
It's not a problem if she does better than me - it won't keep me from sleeping. Graf retired in 1999 and went on to marry fellow former tennis great Andre Agassi. Williams also has the chance this year to swep all four majors in the same year, a feat last achieved by Graf in 1988.
