Williams beat Wozniacki 6-3, 6-3 in the final of the year's last Grand Slam to take her Slam tally to a record 18 titles.
Williams and Wozniacki later posted pictures of their night out on social media. Some of the photographs posted on their Instagram accounts were in a darkened environment suggesting the two had hit one of New York's many night clubs.
The duo's close friends model Gigi Hadid and pop star Joe Jonas also accompanied them.
Williams (32) and Wozniacki (24) have shared one of the best friendships on the professional circuit and are often seen in each other's company.
Shortly after Wozniacki split with her fiancé and star Irish golfer Rory McIlroy earlier this year, the Dane and Williams took off for a short holiday in Miami. Last week, the two ladies were also seen attending an NBA basketball match together.
"Girls ride or die," Williams wrote on Twitter alongside one of her pictures with Wozniacki and a couple of friends.
Wozniacki too had an online message for Williams. "Thank you everybody for the incredible support these weeks! It was a good run, unfortunately lost to a better player today! Congrats @serenawilliams on #18, well deserved," she tweeted.
