Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki to wed in November this year

One of the hottest couples in the world of sports currently - golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki - are all set to tie the knot later this year in November, according to reports

One of the hottest sports couples currently - golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki - are all set to tie the knot later this year, according reports in American newspapers.

The couple have been romancing each other since 2011. but recently McIlroy has reportedly proposed marriage and the tennis hottie has accepted. McIlroy (24) from Northern Ireland but resides in Florida in USA, while Wozniacki (23) is from Denmark and resides in the French Riviera.

Big fat wedding
According to sources close to the couple, the big fat wedding is slated for November this year and will be in New York. Reports suggest the wedding is scheduled to take place soon after the Fedex Cup playoffs where McIlroy is keen to make the cut.

Though there is no official word from either McIlroy or Wozniacki, the tennis ace has been quite vocal about what life after marriage will be like. In January, when she was asked what it would be like to be married, former World No 1 Wozniacki had said: "We live together now, so it's not going to really change that much.

We know what we want, and it just gives us even more time to focus on our careers. Obviously we always try and make our schedules fit. We have done that pretty well so far, so I don't see why it's not going to work for another how many years I want to play."

Engaged on New Year's eve
The couple got engaged on last New Year's eve in Sydney. Recently, during the Dubai Desert Classic, after McIlroy missed out on the record USD 2.5 million on offer for a hole-in-one at the 325-yard par-four 17th hole, the former World No 1 had said on a lighter note: "I saw the pitch mark and it must have just run past the hole. It could have paid for my wedding."
