Former Mumbai pacer Pradeep Kasliwal has been replaced as Director of the Bandra Kurla Complex's indoor academy by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).

The Managing Committee, which met yesterday, decided to discontinue Kasliwal's (50) services after his two-year contract expires at the end of this month.

A source told mid-day: "There is no apparent reason to discontinue him his services. It is just that many members felt that we should have another person as his contract is coming to an end."

Kasliwal, a former Mumbai selector, was appointed in July 2012 after the state-of-the-art indoor facilities were virtually shut for over a year.
