After Pakistan's weightlifting squad checked in at the Nehru Stadium to participate in the 56kg men's weightlifting competition yesterday, team manager Rashid Mehmood sent out a strong warning to the entourage's Chef de Mission, Mohammad Ali Shah.
According to Mehmood, Shah who forcibly snatched the flag during the opening ceremony from original flag bearer, Shauddin Malik, will have to apologise to the weightlifting team or face dire consequences.
"For now, the matter has been resolved, though he (Shah) has not apologised yet. But he better do it because we are not going to take things lying down," Mehmood told MiD DAY.
