Mumbai Customs beat Hockey Dadar 5-3 in the final of the Mount Carmel rink hockey tournament at Bandra recently.

Jayesh Jadhav scored a fine hat-trick, while teammates Stanley Fernandes and Hemant Gethe chipped in with a goal each for the champions, who received a cash award of R15,000 for their effort. Girish Pimpale scored a brace, while Savio Nayak added the third goal for Hockey Dadar, who were richer by Rs 10,000.
Bombay Republicans’ Venkatesh Devkar was adjudged most promising player, while Hockey Dadar’s Abhijit Kadam won the award for best goalkeeper. Customs’ Jadhav was named player of the final, while Hockey Dadar’s Nayak was picked as player of the tournament.
