The teenager is believed to be unhurt in the accident which took place at the Lausitzring speedway in Brandenburg —one of the 16 states in Germany — last weekend.

According to independent.co.uk, the German newspaper report, "claimed that his vehicle skidded off the track during a practice session and ended up on gravel by the side of the road.

Schumacher has still to recover from his skiing accident which took place in December 2013. It was reported earlier this month that the young Schumacher signed a contract with Van Amersfoort Racing for Formula 4.
