Tashkent: India’s Leander Paes and his German partner Andre Begemann went down 4-6, 2-6 to local hero Denis Istomin and Mikhail Elgin of Russia in the men’s doubles final of the ninth edition of the $1,25,000 Tashkent ATP Challenger at the Olympic Tennis School here yesterday.
With the win, Denis and Mikhail have bagged 125 ATP points and $7750 while the runners-up got $4,500 and 75 points.
Denis also placed himself in line for the double crown reaching the final in the singles. He will clash with fifth seeded Konstantin Kravchuk of Russia in the final.
