Montreal: Leander Paes began his partnership with Andy Murray with a win as the pair took less than an hour to advance to the second round of men's doubles event in the USD 3.5 million Canada Open. It was an easy outing for the Indo-Scottish pair who broke Anderson and Chardy five times in the match. The South African-French combine broke Paes-Murray just once. Next up, Paes and Murray will take on the latter's brother, Jamie, who has paired up with John Peers.
After the match, Paes tweeted: "So much fun playing with this Champion @andy_murray .. Such an Honour sharing the court with him." Meanwhile, the Indo-Romanian pair of Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea got a bye in Round 1. They will face a tough test next as they take on Serbian combine Novak Djokovic and Janko Tipsarevic.
