Unseeded Ghosal, ranked 27 in the world, pushed the Egyptian opponent to the limits before going down 5-11 8-11 7-11 in 35 minutes at the Sky Petrosport Club on Wednesday.
Ghosal had earlier defeated 16th seeded Malaysia's Mohd Azlan Iskandar 11-9 4-11 11-8 11-2 in the first round on the opening day of the USD 1,50,000 PSA Super Series championship. That was Kolkata-boy's first success in a Super Series event this year, who has become India's highest-ranked player of all-time.
