Klitschko, 35, beat Britain's Haye on a unanimous points decision in their heavyweight title unification bout in Hamburg. The Ukrainian now holds the IBF, WBO and WBA belts after being awarded the contest 117-109, 118-108, 116-110 by the three judges to claim victory over Haye, the former WBA champion.

After the bout, Haye blamed his defeat on a broken toe. But Bruno, speaking to BBC Radio Five's Sportsweek programme, said yesterday : "If he had a broken toe I would advise him to pull out because a broken toe is your balance and it works everything.

"If you've got a broken toe your balance and everything goes, but he must know his business. If he fought with a broken toe he must be a very brave man."

Meanwhile former Olympic boxing champion Audley Harrison, who lost to Haye said the 30-year-old should not have gone public with his injury. Frank Warren, a boxing promoter, labelled Haye a "cry baby" for his post-fight explanation.
