Spain's controversial three-time Tour de France champion Alberto Contador edged closer to taking part in the Tour de France after his doping hearing before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) was set for August 1-3, after cycling's showpiece event.
The doping case concerning Contador was due to be heard before CAS over three days in Lausanne from June 6-8 in order to have the decision before the start of the Tour de France on July 2.
