Aditya Agrawal wins U-25 snooker title

Former state junior No 2 Aditya Agrawal upset current state junior and sub junior champion Ishpreet Singh Chadha in a 4-3 thriller that ended in a pulsating black-ball finish to emerge champion in the Malabar Hill Club-BSAM All India Under-25 Snooker Challenge 3 yesterday.

Agrawal, of Indian Snooker Academy, rallied from 2-3 to snatch an exciting 63-56, 9-78, 44-72, 64-37, 59-71, 73-40, 71-59 win over his Bombay Gymkhana opponent in an intense best-of-seven frame championship round where both cueists played with caution and gave little away.
