German footballer Mesut Ozil is glad to have got the opportunity to help children in need. Ozil is proud to be associated with the charity, BigShoe, who works with German and Swiss doctors to provide life-changing surgeries to kids, which include left cleft lip, fire wound, clubfoot etc.


On Thursday, Ozil Instagrammed this picture with wife Amine Gulse (below) and wrote: “Thank you!I’m super proud of our @big.shoe11 project with 157 surgeries for children in need [suffering from left cleft lip, fire wound, clubfoot and other] in 2020. We have helped children in six different countries live better lifes. I personally want to say thank you to all the doctors and the team behind BigShoe for making this possible! Please continue your important work. I promise that I will do my part and will continue to help in 2021.”



In 2019, as part of the couple’s wedding celebrations, Ozil and Gulse decided to bear the surgery costs for 1,000 children in need via the same charity.
