Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was unable to score in Portugal’s 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland, but he ended up being the hero after he gave a young fan his shirt and a hug at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

However, one lucky fan, Addison Whelan, did manage to meet Ronaldo after the final whistle. The young girl was in tears after she got past the security to get up close to her idol. According to The Sun, Ronaldo’s gesture earned him a huge roar from the crowd.
