Portugal footballer captain Cristiano Ronaldo added another feather to his cap after he won the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award, after clinching both Euro 2016 and Champions League titles.

Ronaldo could not hold back his excitement and shared a few pictures of him with the trophy on his Instagram account.

The Real Madrid star has grabbed this title for the second time in his career. The 31-year-old star player pipped his Madrid teammate Gareth Bale and French striker Antoine Griezmann for the award.

Ronaldo scored 3 goals in the season which led him to equal French legend Michel Platini's record of 9 goals in Euro Cup finals history.

His rival Lionel Messi, on the other hand, took home the UEFA goal of the season award.
