Kerela Blasters FC midfielder CK Vineeth and defender Rino Anto dedicated their 1-0 Indian Super League (ISL) win over Mumbai City FC (MCFC) in Andheri last night to young Sreejith, who has been reportedly sitting outside the Thiruvananthapuram Secretariat asking for justice for his younger brother Sreejeev who died in May 2014. Sreejeev, who had been arrested by the police for an alleged theft, had died of poisoning.
Both players posted this picture (above right) on Twitter last night to support Sreejith in his fight for justice.
"We've seen you striving for justice, all alone. And like all of Kerala, we're joining you in this fight. Together, we'll fight until justice is delivered. This win is for you! #JusticeForSreejith #MUMKER," Vineeth, a former Bengaluru FC player wrote.
"This win, these points, these men. We fight with you, Sreejith. Until the end!" Anto added.
