Zaid, 14, felt that the experience of playing for Mumbai District Football Association's (MDFA) Division III side, Feugo Tormento FC 'B' boosted his confidence which helped him score the lone goal. "I play in the MDFA League and that experience has given me a lot of confidence. But, I'm disappointed with my performance as I could have scored two or three more goals," Zaid said.
The goal was scored in the 46th minute when midfielder Faiz Shaikh punted the ball forward for Zaid, who showed a clean pair of heels to the rival defenders as he chased the ball before firing past St Lawrence custodian Aditya Kamath, who was left standing. "I was happy to finally score a goal. It's an amazing feeling to score the winner and I thank Faiz for the assist. I hope to play better in the next match and show more accuracy with my shooting as I want to become the top-scorer and help my school win the title," said Zaid, a Lionel Messi fan.
