Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli have been the closest of friends since they were the age of 10 and 12 respectively

Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli shared a record 664 runs during their school match for Shardashram Vidyamandir against St Xavier's School in a Harris Shield tourney. Tendulkar put on 326 runs while Kambli scored 349 runs

While Sachin Tendulkar retired after 200 Tests, Vinod Kambli did so after only 17 Tests. Sachin scored a total of 15,921 Test runs, Kambli has scored 1,084 runs.

However, Vinod Kambli has a higher Test average than his friend Sachin Tendulkar. Vinod Kambli (54.20) has a better Test average than Sachin Tendulkar (53.78).
