IES New English School (Bandra) and Swami Vivekanand Intl School (SVIS), Gorai, advanced to the finals of MSSA U-14 Giles Shield inter-school cricket tournament.
 
IES New English’s off-spinner Yash Rawat scalped four for 18, while efforts from Yaksh Salvi (2-6) and Devang Tandel (2-21) helped his side bundle out RR Education Trust for 98. IES New English won by virtue of the first innings lead on the second day in one of the semi-finals at MIG Cricket ground, Bandra on Wednesday. In the other semi-final at Parsee Gymkhana, Al Barkaat MMI (Kurla) lost to Swami Vivekanand on quotient. Akash Mangde (182) and Agney Aadi (98) helped Al Barkaat score 377 in 68.3 overs. SVIS’s Arnav Lad scapled six wickets, giving away 101 runs.

Devansh Trivedi and Arjun Lotlikar added 74 runs off 159 balls for the second wicket. Agney Aadi (2-70) was the pick of bowlers.
