Washington Sundar's funny reply to Wasim Jaffer's 3 Idiots meme: Dad will treat them to biryani, halwa

Washim Jaffer shared a rather hilarious post on Twitter with reference to a scene from the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots which starred Aamir Khan, R Madhvan and Sharman Joshi.

Former Indian cricketer and batsman Wasim Jaffer saw the lighter side of things after Indian cricketer Washington Sundar was left stranded on 96* in the fourth and final Test match between India and England at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Struggling at 146/6, India's Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar put on a brilliant show as the former scored a brilliant century - 101 off 118 balls (13x4, 2x6) - before being dismissed by James Anderson. However, Sundar went on to steady his innings with an unbeaten 96 off 174 balls. But the lower order batsmen - Axar Patel, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj - could not manage to hold their wickets and were bowled out for 365. Washington Sundar's knock helped India pull off a huge victory by an innings and 25 runs to confirm their spot in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand.

Sharing a still from the movie, Jaffer captioned it, "Axar, Ishant and Siraj next time they meet Washington’s father at a function. Washington Sundar also went on to reply to Jaffer's post with a funny message as well. Sundar wrote, "Thanks a lot bhaiya! Dad will definitely treat them with a lot of biryani and Halwa!"
