Ahead of the IPL 2025 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders' batsman Manish Pandey stated that playing in front of the RCB fans, one 'obviously wants to win.
"Nothing much to lose from here. We could have a better tournament as a team, we were discussing that. We lost a very crucial game in the middle. Two more games to go, so every player in the lineup is eager to perform. Especially in a stadium like Chinnaswamy, and where RCB fans are there, you obviously want to win against these guys," said Manish Pandey in the pre-match press conference.
Previously, due to the escalating cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided to suspend IPL 2025.
Following the cessation of military action, the BCCI later decided to resume the league.

The first match of IPL 2025, after the resumption, will be played between RCB and KKR at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
The Knight Riders have had a rivalry against RCB for a long time now. The most interesting fixture between the two sides was in 2017 when the Kolkata bowlers rattled the Bengaluru batting order at a mere total of 49, which is the lowest by any team so far in the history of IPL.
Over the past 10 years, Kolkata has dominated Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as the 'Men in Purple and Gold' have not lost a single match at the venue since 2015.
Currently, the Rajat Patidar-led RCB are placed in the second position on the IPL 2025 points table. With eight victories in 11 matches, they have 16 points to their name. On the other hand, KKR is placed sixth with five wins and six defeats in 12 matches.
