In what was the first Super Over of the IPL 2021 season, albeit quite a dramatic one, the Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M.A.Chidambaram Stadium on April 25.

After both teams scores were tied at 159, SRH skipper David Warner and Kane Williamson went in to bat and posted 7 runs of Axar Patel's over. DC skipper Rishabh Pant and opener Shikhar Dhawan faced Rashid Khan while chasing the target and managed to get DC through to victory.
Now, former India batsman Virender Sehwag shared his thoughts on social media. The Nawab of Twitter, as he is fondly called, went on to question SRH's strategy in the super Over, questioning them as to why Jonny Bairstow was not selected for it.
Sehwag wrote, "Unless Jonny Bairstow was in toilet, can't get why would he not be your first choice in a #SuperOver when he scored 38 off 18 in main innings and looked the cleanest hitter."
Unless Bairstow was in toilet, can't get why would he not be your first choice in a #SuperOver when he scored 38 of 18 in the main innings and looked the cleanest hitter. Baffling, Hyderabad fought well but have only themselves to blame for strange decisions. #SRHvsDC

SRH are currently placed last on the IPL points table with 2 points from 5 matches while DC is sitting in the second spot.
