“This is a special achievement as we all overcame difficult phases during the pandemic and managed to keep our focus on the game. All credit goes to my teammates. We will keep practising hard for the upcoming National Championship to be held in Agra and aim to repeat the same feat in the Deaf International Cricket Council World Cup and Asia Cup next year,” said captain Virender Singh, from Una, Himachal Pradesh, on Sunday.

Pacers Jitender Tyagi, Yashwanth Naidu and left-arm spinner Kuldeep Singh claimed two wickets each for India. Indian Deaf Cricket Association’s president Sumit Jain lavished praise on his players, especially on captain Virendra and the support staff.
