New Zealand's stand-by captain Tom Lathan continues to lead as veteran Kane Williamson is ruled out of the clash against India due to his thumb injury.

Devon Conway and Will Young opened the inning for New Zealand. In Mohammed Siraj's over, Conway threw his wicket in the hands of Shreyas Iyer. The young talented Rachin Ravindra came in to bat at no. 3 for the Kiwis.

After getting the early wicket of Kiwi's opener Devon Conway, Siraj continues to trouble New Zealand's batters with his pace and swing bowling. Jasprit Bumrah on the other hand, is taking care of not leaking many runs in the powerplay.

Mohammed Shami strikes the wicket of another opener Will Young on the first ball of his first over. Daryl Mitchell, the new batsman stepped in after the wicket. Rachin Ravindra is playing impressive strokes against India's pace department. Ravindra and Mitchell are stabilizing New Zealand's batting after early loss of wickets.

Battle between Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santer will be a thing to watch out for as both have 10 and 11 wickets under their belt, respectively.

Mohammed Siraj ends the first power play with his over. New Zealand has 34 runs for 2 wickets so far.
