The ninth match of the marquee event and India's second match of the ICC World Cup 2023 against Afghanistan is all set to be played. Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium is ready to witness another heroics from their homeboy – Virat Kohli. Team India has rolled up their sleeves to play their campaign's second game under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Afghanistan will look for their first win in the tournament under the leadership of Hashmatullah Shahidi.

Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi won the toss and elected to bat first against India.


Shubman Gill will miss the clash against Afghanistan as he has not fully recovered from his illness (dengue). Ishan Kishan will take Gill's place in the team ahead of today's clash.
