The ICC World Cup 2023 match between the two cricketing giants England and Australia will be played in Gujarat at Motera Stadium. Both teams will look to secure points in the points table which will keep their hopes for the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023 alive.


England skipper Jos Buttler have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Australia.

England has been experiencing the absence of their lead pacer Reece Topley who was ruled out of the ICC World Cup 2023 due to a left index finger injury.

Australia Squad:

Pat Cummins (c), Steve Smith, Josh Inglis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Marcus Stoinis, David Warner, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Starc.

England Squad:

Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, David Willey, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes.

Afghans lord over the Dutch

The match between Afghanistan and the Netherlands was played in Lucknow at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. The Dutch skipper Scott Edwards won the toss and elected to bat first.

The Netherlands lost the early wicket of their opening batsman Wesley Barresi for just one run. None of the Dutch batsmen were able to score big except Max O'Dowd and Sybrand Engelbrecht who scored 42 and 58 runs, respectively. The Netherlands was bowled out for just 179 runs by the Afghanistan bowlers.

Yet again, the Afghanistan batting lineup delivered the performances for the team. Rahmat Shah played an excellent knock of 52 runs but was later dismissed by Saqib Zulfiqar. Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 56 and 31 runs and guided Afghanistan to another win in the ICC World Cup 2023. Afghanistan won the match by seven wickets.
