A technical snag in his flight at Bangalore resulted in the former India all-rounder reaching Mumbai an hour late for the meeting. However, when he emerged from the meeting, Binny seemed excited. After all, his son Stuart had broken into the 15-member squad for the all-important quadrennial event.
"Like every father, I am very proud of my son's selection," is all he told reporters. The urge to express his happiness was evident, but BCCI's gag order on selectors interacting with the media prevented him from speaking further.
