The linchpin and backbone of Indian cricket, Virat Kohli, has managed to leave other cricketers behind with his supreme fitness. India’s batting talisman on Friday took to social media to share a video of his fitness session, which went viral on the internet in no time.

Steadily getting back into the groove after a short break to the hills, the former India captain was seen lifting weights and working hard on his fitness in the gym ahead of the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the video, Kohli is seen enhancing his core and lower body strength, including a powerful combination of weights and cardio exercises. ‘Back at it’, he captioned the post, using the hashtag ‘VK cam’.

Kohli will be looking to get back to his best form in the Test format, as he has in the limited overs formats. After years of struggling with a lean patch, the 33-year-old has managed a stunning return to form in white ball cricket.

Rohit Sharma-led Team India is set to face Australia in a four-match Border Gavaskar Test Series, which will begin on February 9. The series takes on extra significance in 2023 for the Men in Blue, as a whitewash or 3-1 win will secure their entry into the final of the World Test Championship. The first Test match is scheduled to be played in Nagpur, starting Thursday.
