The long breaks between matches might be an irritant for the rest of the Indian team, but not for Yusuf Pathan. The 'Baroda Bomber' used the time to do some exotic shopping: rare parrots.
"Bachhpan se hi parrots mujhe pasand hain (I've liked parrots right from the time I was a little boy.) There are some more of them at home. But I don't have this African parrot. I am very happy now," Pathan told MiD DAY
yesterday.
"I can't express my feelings for parrots, I just love them," said Pathan, who has to get a no-objection certificate from the wild life conservation department before taking his new friendly quartet to his hometown.
With the feathery vertebrates having grown in number at his home, Pathan is now planning to build a separate facility to house them.
"Ghar me abhi jagah nahi hain (there is no place at home now). I have to make an out house kind of place for them," he said. The question now is, will the arrival of the parrots change Pathan's luck or not in the World Cup?
