Yadav could be the first Test cricketer in modern times to head the Board. The Hyderabad-based former India off-spinner is tipped for the top job.
If he gets the president's post, it will add to the various caps he has adorned like national selector, team manager and at the time of writing BCCI vice-president. Yadav told the media that he was willing to accept the big post if given an opportunity.
The Maharaja of Maharajah of Vizianagram (Vizzy) was the Board chief from 1954-55 to 1955-56.
