While he may be endearing himself to people with his on-field performances, this off-the-field gesture by India Test skipper Virat Kohli will give you one more reason to love him and make you go 'Awwww'

The fifth and final Test in the series against England starts today and all eyes will be on India skipper Virat Kohli. Enjoying the year of his life, Kohli has been in phenomenal form and even scored a record-breaking career-best 235 in the last Test at Mumbai recently.
Off the field too, the 28-year-old is also enjoying a good time in his personal life with rumoured girlfriend Anushka Sharma.
His transformation from a angry young cub to a more mature lion seemed one step closer with his conciliatory role during the R Ashwin-James Anderson war of words towards the end of the Wankhede Test. He has also led the team to its largest undefeated streak in Test cricket.
But it's not his on-field antics or off-field romance alone that makes him India's sweetheart.
On Thursday, he showed another side of himself that endeared him to Indians even more.
Virat Kohli's kindheartedness to a security dog on duty at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium.

The India captain is a dog lover and is time and again seen with his canine friends -- especially 'Bruno' -- on his social media accounts.

This picture of his with the security dogs was posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) showing Kohli taking time off from his training at Chepauk to pet the sniffer dogs and quench their thirst to deal with Chennai's humidity and heat went viral and melted everyone's heart on the Internet.
