How much were you reminded of the underarm incident when you read/saw the Randiv
no-ball to Sehwag?
I don't generally need any reminding of the underarm. It comes up regularly enough.

How did you cope with all that. What did you go through?
From what I remember, not much happened at the time. Most of the attention was directed at Greg initially.
Soon, Randiv will play his first match after the incident. Do you think he could just be buried in pressure?
I can't see why he would be under more pressure than normal. It is just another game.

What would you tell him in terms of forgetting about the incident?
Treat it like any other game. What people on the ground or outside the fence say can't affect you unless you let it.
Are you still haunted by the underarm ball?
I wouldn't say I am haunted by it but it is never far from being mentioned, either directly to me or in some way in the media. I have tried not to let what is said about the underarm bother me right from the start. I try to go along with what ever is happening and treat it in a
humourous manner.

Brian McKechnie says you never apologised even the next day. Is that because you felt you didn't need to?
I have never thought there was much point in apologising as it would not change anything.u00a0 Also, it was legal at the time, even though not in the spirit of the game.
How did you feel when you met him after 1981?
I was probably a little nervous, uncertain of what to expect. Brian and I have come together many times in the last 29 years with various events to do with the underarm and I have always found him to be very good company. I would say we have got on well.
