New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad braved the rain and uncertain conditions to post an eight-wicket win over an unlucky Delhi Daredevils in a five-over slugfest via the Duckworth-Lewis method.

The second innings was plagued by one stoppage after the other as the match, scheduled to be a complete 20-over affair at the break, was reduced to 15 overs, then 12 and finally to a five-over contest.

On resumption, every over became a contest with Sunrisers needing 26 runs off three overs, as they had scored 17-1 off the first two overs of their innings.

The novelty in the game was the first display of South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir for Daredevils. His over went for nine and then Jharkhand seamer Rahul Shukla blasted Aaron Finch's wicket out.

David Warner and Naman Ojha left with having to score as well as protect their wickets. Ojha carted Shukla into the stands off the last ball of the fourth over to make it a run-a-ball affair for Sunrisers. Ojha then carted Laxmi Ratan Shukla for another six to settle the issue.
