The "conditionally" retired former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi (left) is all set to skip the disciplinary hearing of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on June 8. His legal team is also planning to give it a miss.

Afridi's lawyer, Syed Ali Zafar revealed: "The PCB wants the hearing be conducted in closed session, which is unconstitutional in this country. The hearing itself is illegal and therefore we are keeping all our options open to boycott the hearing."

PCB summoned Afridi to appear before a disciplinary committee of Sultan Rana, Shafiq Ahmed and Usman Wahla for breaching its code of conduct. Taffazul Rizvi, the board's legal advisor, will also be present at the hearing. "My client is victimised and therefore we have decided to fight it out," added Zafar. The law firm, Mandviwalla and Zafar Associates will also look to secure Pakistani permission for Afridi to play county cricket in England.
