Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address had sought people's participation in realising Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean India.

Sharma, who is on Indian Oil rolls, formally launched the campaign. The nation-wide campaign will officially be launched on October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The state-run oil marketing firm is rolling out cleanliness drive across its country-wide marketing infrastructure and network of 40,000 customer touch points, including over 24,000 fuel stations and 7,000 LPG distributors.
