Former India all-rounder Rohan Gavaskar is all set to help groom young cricketing talent at the Andheri Sports Complex from April 15 through the Rohan Gavaskar Cricket Academy.

Gavaskar played 11 one-day internationals for India - all in 2004. According to a media release, "the aim is to encourage and nurture not just cricketing skills in children and youngsters, but also towards empowering them with comprehensive insights of the game that would help them in nurturing leadership skills and build team spirit."
Dwelling on the importance of kids indulging in outdoor activities, Gavaskar, said: "I hope with this initiative we can get kids and youngsters to come out and have fun. I sincerely believe that outdoor physical activities are very important in the development of kids and youngsters.
