Mumbai all-rounder and former captain Abhishek Nayar is set to bid adieu to bachelorhood tomorrow. The 30-year-old will tie the knot with his girlfriend Natasha after five years of courtship.

"I have realised that there is never the right time. I am already 30 and we knew that we aren't getting any younger. So, I felt 30 is about time we get married," Nayar told mid-day yesterday.

Nayar recalled how he met Natasha at a Bandra salon. "I had gone for a haircut and she was my hairstylist. That's how we met," he said.

So, who proposed first? "Of course me. The guy has to be the first one to do it. We were contemplating marriage for some time.

"I just said it very casually. There was no special atmosphere created," Nayar, , who played three ODIs for India in 2009, confessed.

Nayar said he couldn't have expected a better partner than Natasha.

"I am lucky to have her. She has been very supportive and understanding. She was always there to pick me up rather than push me down," he said.

Even on his wedding day, Nayar, the passionate cricketer, will just be a stone's throw away from the Wankhede Stadium pitch, as the venue he gets married at is inside the stadium premises!
